Ursula Carsen
Ursula Carsen, M.T.C., is a Toronto based Psychotherapist in private practice, workshop facilitator and Body-Soul Writing Instructor (UBC Writing Centre). Her background in music, past studies in Eastern Medicine, on-going Yoga practice and twenty-five year membership (founding member) of a Women’s Shamanic Drumming group are all aspects of her lifelong passion for the body-soul connection and the language of symbol and metaphor. She has studied and worked in Canada, the U.S.A. and in Europe. Her education is rooted in the Psychodynamic and Jungian traditions of practicing psychotherapy. With a diploma from the Centre For Training In Psychotherapy, Toronto, Ursula also holds a Master's degree in Therapeutic Counseling (MTC) from the International Institute of Integral Human Sciences, and is a clinical member of the Canadian Association For Psychodynamic Therapy (CAPT). A graduate of the First Marion Woodman Foundation Leadership Training, she served on the Marion Woodman Foundation Faculty in 2005, and has led Body-Soul Intensives since 2003. Incorporating dreams, movement, voice, writing, intuitive art making and sound, her work’s emphasis is on the aliveness of consciousness, and the integration of body, soul and mind.
