Dani Hassett

Dani Hassett obtained an addiction counselling diploma from Canadore College (North Bay), a BSc in psychology from the University of Guelph, and is currently studying with The Gestalt Institute of Toronto. She has worked as a youth support worker (Change Now: Youth Drop in and Resource Centre) for street involved youth in Guelph, an addictions counsellor for a women's outpatient treatment program in Scarborough (Salvation Army Homestead Scarborough Satellite), a concurrent disorder counsellor for at-risk male youth in Toronto (Turning Point Youth Services), and is currently a crisis counsellor at the Gerstein on Bloor. Service participants (clients), addicts come from an array of socioeconomic backgrounds, all with unique stories and common undertones.
